10 Reasons You Should Never Get a Job

10 Reasons You Should Never Get a Job

"Why is getting a job so dumb? Because you only get paid when you’re working. Don’t you see a problem with that, or have you been so thoroughly brainwashed into thinking it’s reasonable and intelligent to only earn income when you’re working? Have you never considered that it might be better to be paid even when you’re not working? Who taught you that you could only earn income while working? Some other brainwashed employee perhaps?"

Steve Pavlina has a point here. He sounds a lot like the author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad. The idea is to generate passive income by creating things that make money for you without much continuing effort. It may take some time to create the initial product (website, creative work, etc.), but once it is out there it is providing value to other who will pay for it.

russell davies: how to be interesting

russell davies: how to be interesting

This is a great article on how to be interesting. It is a list (I love lists) of 10 things you should do if you want to be interesting. Bottom line is: if you want to be interesting, be interested. Don't be one-dimensional, look carefully at everything, be passionate about something (anything), and learn how to explain the banal to people without boring them to death.
